Tonawanda Dance Arts is a Safer Studio™ and follows the More Than Just Great Dancing!® Safer Studio Guidelines, which prioritize a hierarchy of safety and wellness measures including:

  • Wellness checks for staff

  • Frequent hand hygiene

  • Enhanced cleaning procedures

  • Touch-less payment options

  • Minimizing mixing and mingling via social distancing practices

  • Curricular and facility adjustments

  • Gradual re-opening and continuous communication.

The studio has increased cleaning frequencies and sanitation procedures in high traffic areas and high touch surfaces.  Facility, scheduling, and curricular adjustments have been made to reduce mixing and mingling in support of social distancing recommendations.  However, we understand that children cannot be expected to maintain social distancing at all times and as a Youth Protection Advocates in Dance® certified studio, all faculty members will receive regular and continuing safety training as it relates to preventing community spread of COVID.

Tonawanda Dance Arts is the first studio in the area to become a Tech-Enabled studio with live streaming equipment hooked up in each dance room for students to participate in class via a distance learning format.  This also gives parents (and even grandparents) the opportunity and convenience to live-stream their child's dance class and watch it from anywhere!
