INSTRUCTOR

Tonawanda Dance Arts is seeking a positive and experienced Dance Instructor.  Enjoyment in teaching dance classes in a variety of styles, ability to communicate effectively, and flexibility in meeting individual student needs and goals is a must.  You must have at least one year of previous dance teaching experience and a willingness and eagerness to continue to grow and develop in your role.  We only hire A-players who want to contribute to the positive success of our students, our business and the dance community!  Candidates must have excellent, organization, effective verbal and written communication, creative and flexible teaching style, and an enthusiastic, professional and warm approach with students and parents.  Ongoing training and development is required in this role, as well as a positive, can-do attitude! 

 

Responsibilities include: â€‹

  • Attend weekly dance classes that you are scheduled for and if for some reason you will be absent, find a substitute.

  • Follow the outlined class curriculum and maintain a fun, positive, and structured classroom environment.

  • Plan weekly lesson plans for classes and maintain clear, detailed and easy to understand notes.

  • Ensure that music and choreography is clean and age appropriate, choreography is well rehearsed and all students know their dance.

  • Establish classroom rules and guidelines that are age appropriate and support the studio’s code of conduct and regularly reward students for good behavior.

  • Dress professionally, and ensure that LIT and students follow the dress code.

  • Professionally interact with students and parents, coach and mentor LIT and interns.

  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings, stay up to date on important studio information.complete assignments on time and respond in a timely manner to communication.

  • Attend and assist with special events and performances.

  • Participate in an annual performance review.

  • Anything else as requested by your supervisor.

MEMBER EXPERIENCE TEAM

Tonawanda Dance Arts is seeking a confident team player for the role of a Member Experience Team Associate.  This person will be able to wear multiple hats within the organization and will be skilled at sales, customer service, accounting, problem solving organization and leadership.  We're on the lookout for a dynamic team player who can effortlessly handle various roles with professionalism and enthusiasm.  If you've got the perfect blend of charm, sales skills, and organizational finesse, you might just be the vibrant addition we need!

 

Responsibilities include: â€‹

  • Open and close building each shift and complete daily maintenance.

  • Answer phone calls, text messages, and emails.

  • Update social media stories.

  • Collect tuition and other fees and post on client accounts.

  • Follow the outlined process for sales and conversions.

  • Process new student enrollment and provide support through the entire lifecycle of the customer.

  • Assist with onboarding, retention, marketing and customer service campaigns.

  • Address customer complaints and escalate issues, if needed.

  • Assist with costumes and organization.

  • Sell merchandise and update inventory log, including sizing students for dance wear

  • Anything else requested by your supervisor
