
Tonawanda Dance Arts Kidance Program
TDA's dance, acro and cheer classes for ages 5 - 8 in the Kidance Program are designed to introduce students to the fundamental skills they need to build in any genre that they want to explore! Classes meet students at their skill level, whether they are new to dance or are advancing from a previous program at TDA.
Tonawanda Dance Arts is a Tech-Enabled™ studio, giving parents and students the flexibility to participate in-person at our studio, or virtually as needed. Parents can live-stream their student’s dance class to watch live from anywhere!

Class Schedules and Tuition
The most common choice for families at Tonawanda Dance Arts is enrolling in two classes per week! TDA makes tuition, costumes, membership and performance fees as simple and transparent as possible, and you can learn more about these fees here. All classes in the Kidance Program are 30 minutes. Tuition is a course fee that is billed in 10 installments at $55 per installment (credit card fees apply). The first installment is due upon enrollment, with the remaining installments billed September through May on the first of each month.
Ballet Classes for Ages 5 - 8
Ballet is the basic foundation of all dance genres. Ballet develops discipline, technique, posture, placement and alignment that translates to any type of dance! Ballet classes are beneficial to any young dancer, and highly recommended for every student. Ballet classes in the Kidance program are 30 minutes long, and tuition is $55 per installment. Tuition is charged in 10 installments and each installments are billed on the first of the month (your first installment is billed upon enrollment).

Ballet II Schedule
Ballet II classes are for students that have completed the Kidance Ballet I class and are recommended by their instructors to move to the next level. Please contact us if you have questions about your child's placement.

Learn more about membership, costumes, and performance fees associated with your tuition costs. For ballet classes, female students must wear a lavender leotard, pink tights and pink leather ballet shoes with hair pulled back into a bun. Male students wear a black shirt, black dance pants or athletic shorts and black leather ballet shoes.
Tap Classes for Ages 5 - 8
Tap introduces students to rhythm, musicality and a variety of steps. Tap dance classes progress with each year and become more challenging! Students learn to count music and focus on memorization of simple dance steps and combinations. Tap dance classes in the Kidance program are 30 minutes long, and tuition is $55 per installment. Tuition is charged in 10 installments and each installments are billed on the first of the month (your first installment is billed upon enrollment).

Acro Classes for Ages 5 - 8
Acrobatics classes focus on tumbling, such as somersaults, cartwheels and bridges, among many other things! Acrobatics develops flexibility, strength, balance, agility and coordination that benefit students in many other types dance classes! Acrobatics classes in the Kidance program are 30 minutes long, and tuition is $55 per installment. Tuition is charged in 10 installments and each installments are billed on the first of the month (your first installment is billed upon enrollment).

Hip Hop Classes for Ages 5 - 8
Hip Hop focuses on the freestyle form of dance that stems from the roots of jazz, but incorporates modern urban movements performed to current, age appropriate music. Hip Hop classes are great for students looking high energy, athletic dance classes! Hip Hop classes in the Kidance program are 30 minutes long, and tuition is $55 per installment. Tuition is charged in 10 installments and each installments are billed on the first of the month (your first installment is billed upon enrollment).

Jazz classes introduce students to this energetic and expressive style of dance, with steps and routines becoming more challenging as the season progresses. Students learn to count music, memorize simple dance steps and master combinations to create and perform impressive routines! Jazz classes in the Kidance program are 30 minutes long, and tuition is $55 per installment. Tuition is charged in 10 installments and each installments are billed on the first of the month (your first installment is billed upon enrollment).

Cheer Dance Classes for Ages 5 - 8
Cheer Dance is a form of cheerleading that blends sharp, precise dance movements with energetic music. These classes are perfect for current cheerleaders, or those who want to pursue cheerleading. Cheer Dance classes develop strength, discipline, body posture and stamina. Cheer Dance classes in the Kidance program are 30 minutes long, and tuition is $55 per installment. Tuition is charged in 10 installments and each installments are billed on the first of the month (your first installment is billed upon enrollment).
