"Let Your Hopes Shape Your Future" Miss Mel's Message: November is a month to take a step back and think about all the things we have in our lives to be thankful for. Here at TDA, we have so many. I am thankful for the community we have, the wonderful students and parents we interact with every day, and the opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives every day! Exciting things are coming in November! Recital costumes will be revealed soon and our first Chance To Dance Scholarship Bake Sale of the year will take place. Youth Protection Advocates In Dance® was originally founded in Los Angeles in 2012 by motivated and committed of doctors, therapist, specialists, and educators for youth in athletic and artistic activities. Youth Protection Advocates In Dance® was born as a response and solution to various negative trends that commodify and exploit youth and adults in performing arts. YPAD Certification is the foremost, research based, educational course for dance professionals and the dance industry as a whole. We are proud of the confident and responsible people they are becoming. Not to mention their dedication and growth in dance itself! Congratulations!  You’re Officially a Dance Parent

Welcome to the club, dance moms and dads! Now that you’ve formally signed your child up for lessons and you’ve gotten all the pertinent information about the season, you are officially a dance parent at Tonawanda Dance Arts! Being a dance parent here is a little bit like being in a secret society; there’s this new lingo to learn and a whole culture that you are now a part of. Here’s the inside scoop on what you need to know for your new status as a Tonawanda Dance Arts dance mom or dad: Study up on your dancewear vocab.
